There are certainly fewer licenses with renewal and periodic reporting deadlines that fall during the summer months; most tend to hit at the end of the year or in the first quarter. But licensees would be wise to double-check deadlines before they assume that they’re off the hook and head out for summer vacation. We summarize below a few approaching periodic reporting deadlines.
Nevada Monthly Mortgage Activity Report – July 15
Nevada mortgage company licensees are required to file a report of all closed mortgage loan transactions for the previous month with the Nevada Division of Mortgage Lending by the 15th of each month. The report is an Excel document that can be downloaded from the division’s website (the division accepts no other format). The report requests information such as the loan funding date, borrower’s full name, and loan amount, and must be submitted via e-mail to [email protected].
Delaware Annual Supervisory Assessment – August 1
The Delaware Office of the State Bank Commissioner recently posted annual supervisory assessment fees for Delaware licensees, including lenders, brokers, check sellers/money transmitters, and mortgage loan originators. The fee is communicated via an agency fee invoice in the licensee’s NMLS account and is paid through NMLS. Payment is due by August 1. Non-payment can impact or delay renewal of the license at the end of the year.
Mortgage Call Report – August 14
Companies holding certain licenses through NMLS (typically, mortgage licenses) must submit a quarterly Mortgage Call Report. The MCR for the second quarter of 2021, covering data from April 1 to June 30, is due no later than August 14. Note that even if a licensee does not engage in mortgage-related activities, a requirement to file the report may still exist based on licenses held.
Montana Quarterly Statement of Mortgage Servicing Activity – August 14
Companies engaged in the business of servicing residential mortgage loans under the Montana Mortgage Act must submit a Quarterly Statement of Montana Mortgage Servicing Activity. The form is required only for licensees that file the standard MCR (versus the expanded MCR). Data covering the second quarter of 2021 is due by August 14. Forms may be submitted to the Montana Division of Banking and Financial Institutions either by mail, email, or fax.
