The Delaware Office of the State Bank Commissioner (OSBC) announced that beginning April 15, 2020, all Chapter 23, Sale of Checks and Transmission of Money licensees will be required to use the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) for the purpose of application, renewal, surrenders and amendments.
We anticipate that the OSBC will update NMLS on April 15, 2020 to make a license transition checklist available for licensees. Although full details of the license transition requirements have yet to be disclosed, the OSBC has indicated that licensees will be required to provide their license number and that the process will be relatively streamlined.
UPDATE: NMLS has published all checklist requirements for licensing and transition to NMLS with a deadline for existing licensees to file a transition request in NMLS by June 15, 2020. Read more here.
